Scope
This policy applies to the Mascopal mobile apps, website, support channels, and related services.
Mascopal helps people manage pet routines, health records, reminders, and AI-assisted insights. Some data relates to you, and some data relates to the pets you choose to add.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, authentication records, and security logs.
- Pet profile data: pet name, species, breed, age, weight, care preferences, and health notes.
- Care records: food, water, walks, medication, vaccinations, reminders, and routine logs.
- Media and documents: photos, vaccination cards, veterinary records, and files you upload.
- Device and usage data: app version, device type, crash reports, diagnostics, and anti-abuse signals.
Why we use data
- To create your account, secure your session, and provide app features.
- To display pet history, generate reminders, and support family sharing.
- To provide AI-assisted insights without diagnosing medical conditions.
- To detect errors, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and protect the service.
- To respond to user requests and meet legal obligations.
AI and health boundary
Mascopal AI requests go through our backend proxy. The iOS client never calls AI providers directly.
Mascopal does not diagnose, treat, or replace a licensed veterinarian. For serious symptoms, we direct users to professional veterinary care.
Retention and deletion
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service, protect security, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
When you delete your account, associated profile, pet records, documents, and related data are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable technical period.
Your rights
- You can request access to your personal data.
- You can ask us to correct incomplete or inaccurate data.
- You can request deletion, portability, restriction, or objection where applicable.
